Have a problem opening a .CPI file? We collect information about file formats and can explain what CPI files are. Additionally we recommend software suitable for opening or converting such files.
What is the .CPI file type?
The .cpi extension is mainly encountered in association with the AVCHD Clip Information (CPI) file type/format. AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) is a proprietary video compression codec, jointly developed by Sony and Panasonic. Based on the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 technology, AVCHD is widely implemented in digital camcorder devices.
Video clips made with an AVCHD camera are saved as .mts (.m2ts) files. For each .mts file, a separate .cpi file is automatically created. It is a small binary file that holds metadata information (aspect ratio, resolution, exposure, time/date stamps, etc.) for its related clip file. CPI files always have the same filenames as .mts clips, e.g. '001523.cpi' for '001523.mts'.
Stored under 'AVCHD/BDMV/CLIPINF', such CPI clip information files are often mistaken for actual AVCHD video. When an attempt is made to open a .cpi file with a media player, the player will be redirected to the associated .mts file instead. CPI files are not meant to be opened directly, yet metadata they contain are used by video processing software.
Differently, the .cpi extension is also used in association with the CPC Compressed Image (CPI) file format and type. CPC stands for Cartesian Perceptual Compression and represents a very efficient data compression method suggested by Cartesian Products, Inc. CPC allows to achieve much better compression ratios than TIFF it is often compared to.
CPC-compressed images can have both .cpc and .cpi extensions. A .cpi file is a relatively small binary file with the 'CPC' signature at the file's header. To open and view such CPC-compressed images (.cpi), one needs to use the CPC View utility or a CPC web-browser plugin. Free panasonic pbx unified maintenance console usb driver.

SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SAP CPI) provides a message mapping feature. One of the center-elements of any integration stage is to interpret between message format/schema/rules between various message groups. The file structure of the.CPI file is designed in such a way that the CPI file contains the necessary metadata which describes the AVCHD video stream. The various properties and attributes recorded as a part of this metadata are, frame rate, frame's aspect ratio, frame rate ( in frames per seconds), and other properties that are often used to. The file extension CPI marks so-called AVCHD video clip information files. These 'video snippets' of information files are generated by various digital video camcorders and contain metadata describing the AVCHD video stream. CPI graph The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) publishes the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) on a monthly basis. We use the CPI-W to annually adjust benefits paid to Social Security beneficiaries and Supplemental Security Income recipients. The CPI file is a reasonably small size for a video file, but it can still support 1080i and 720p. The codec associated with these types of files is the same as for MPEG4 files. The files contain some of the metadata information about the video clips.
Lastly, the .cpi extension also belongs to the MS-DOS/Windows Codepage Information (CPI) format and file type. Historically, the binary CPI format was used in the now obsolete MS-DOS and early MS Windows to provide codepage, keyboard layout information as well as bitmap fonts for different languages and display setups (CGA, EGA, VGA, SVGA).

The various properties and attributes recorded as a part of this metadata are, frame rate, frame's aspect ratio, frame rate ( in frames per seconds), and other properties that are often used to describe a MTS file. How to open CPI files
If you cannot open the CPI file on your computer - there may be several reasons. The first and most important reason (the most common) is the lack of a suitable software that supports CPI among those that are installed on your device.
A very simple way to solve this problem is to find and download the appropriate application. The first part of the task has already been done – the software supporting the CPI file can be found in the table. Now just download and install the appropriate application.

Possible problems with the CPI format files
The inability to open and operate the CPI file does not necessarily mean that you do not have an appropriate software installed on your computer. There may be other problems that also block our ability to operate the AVCHD Clip Information Format file. Below is a list of possible problems.
- Corruption of a CPI file which is being opened
- Incorrect links to the CPI file in registry entries.
- Accidental deletion of the description of the CPI from the Windows registry
- Incomplete installation of an application that supports the CPI format
- The CPI file which is being opened is infected with an undesirable malware.
- The computer does not have enough hardware resources to cope with the opening of the CPI file.
- Drivers of equipment used by the computer to open a CPI file are out of date.
If you are sure that all of these reasons do not exist in your case (or have already been eliminated), the CPI file should operate with your programs without any problem. If the problem with the CPI file has not been solved, it may be due to the fact that in this case there is also another rare problem with the CPI file. In this case, the only you can do is to ask for assistance of a professional staff.

How to associate the file with an installed software?
If you want to associate a file with a new program (e.g. my-file.CPI) you have two ways to do it. The first and the easiest one is to right-click on the selected CPI file. From the drop-down menu select 'Choose default program', then click 'Browse' and find the desired program. The whole operation must be confirmed by clicking OK. The second and more difficult to do is associate the CPI file extension to the corresponding software in the Windows Registry.
Is there one way to open unknown files?
Cpi Files To Video
Many files contain only simple text data. It is possible that while opening unknown files (e.g. CPI) with a simple text editor like Windows Notepad will allow us to see some of the data encoded in the file. This method allows you to preview the contents of many files, but probably not in such a structure as a program dedicated to support them.
